AI consulting and business transformation in Bahrain

Juthūr helps organizations in Bahrain apply AI to the work that matters most. We start with the business, prioritize workflows with measurable value, and design automation, assistants and agents that respect Bahrain's personal-data law and national AI policy — with training so teams can run them confidently.

01

The local landscape

What organizations should know before designing AI workflows here — each point linked to its source.

Personal data protection has applied since 2019

Bahrain's Law No. 30 of 2018 took effect on 1 August 2019, making it one of the earlier comprehensive data-protection laws in the region.[1]

Transfers depend on the destination

Personal data may generally be transferred to destinations recognized as adequately protective, or otherwise with an authorization or an applicable exception such as qualifying consent.[1]

A national AI policy and GCC ethics manual

In July 2025 the Information & eGovernment Authority launched a national policy for the use of AI and Bahrain adopted the GCC guiding manual on the ethics of AI use.[2][3]

02

What it means for your AI programme

Juthūr's recommendations based on the landscape above.

  1. 01

    Check transfer destinations

Record where each AI provider processes data and whether that destination is treated as adequate, or which authorization or exception applies.

  2. 02

Align internal policy with the national one

Use the national AI policy as a reference for your own rules on approved tools, disclosure, human oversight and accountability.

  3. 03

    Start small and measurable

Pick one or two workflows, record a baseline and run a bounded pilot before committing to wider change.

Language and dialects

Assistants serving Bahrain usually need Bahraini and wider Gulf Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic and English. Test accuracy with real customer phrasing in each.

Frequently asked questions

Does Bahrain's data-protection law apply to AI tools?

Yes — whenever an AI tool processes personal data, the general obligations of Law No. 30 of 2018 apply, including those on transfers abroad. This page is not legal advice.

Does Juthūr work with organizations in Bahrain?

Yes. We work with organizations in Bahrain in Arabic and English, starting with a free consultation.

What does Bahrain's national AI policy cover?

It sets general principles for using AI, alongside the GCC ethics manual Bahrain adopted in July 2025. Read the official documents linked below for the details.

How quickly can we see results?

A bounded pilot on a well-chosen workflow can usually be measured within a quarter. Broader change takes longer and is planned in waves.
